GDN: BAHRAINI trade and industrial companies were urged to reinstate sacked employees. Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) called on major companies in particular to quickly implement the royal directives.
BCCI chairman Dr Essam Fakhro also urged firms to respond immediately to HRH the Premier's edict on reinstating employees who were proved not to be involved in any crimes or did not skip work for a maximum 10 days.
The appeal came as Dr Fakhro met Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan in the presence of senior officials.
The call is part of efforts to create a positive atmosphere to address all national issues and restore social stability, Dr Fakhro said.
He also stressed the importance of creating an appropriate climate to ensure the success of the National Dialogue, resolve problems, defuse tensions and restore security and stability for the economic growth to be on track.
He said he was confident companies would respond positively, adding that the private sector was aware of its patriotic responsibilities, particularly in this critical moment in the kingdom's history.
